Finally threw out my Linksys router and installed a D-Link router (DI-624).

The problems I’ve had with the Linksys are; weak signal in other rooms and having to reset it about once a week.

The D-Link gives me great signal strength in all rooms and so far I have not had to reset it once (but it’s only been one week..so finger’s crossed…).

Good for you. I had a Linksys router for a long time, but the damn thing never quite worked correctly. I replaced it with a Netgear and haven’t had any screwy problems. I would have thought Cisco buying Linksys would have made them better, not worse!

I’ve never had any issues with any of my Linksys products, both before and after Cisco…maybe I just keep getting lucky…who knows.

Me and you both. I’ve been using Linksys for a number of years and the only problem I’ve had is the regularity with which lightning destroys the damn things (I guess that’s what I get for living in Florida).

worked great for me too in America…here in India because of the concrete walls wireless is not a good idea.

I had a belkin before the linksys and that needed to be reset every 3-4 hours :(

Currently using the Linksys 802.11b Wireless router—had it for a few weeks already and it’s still working great. I’ve never had to reset it, but I do get a weak signal from the bedroom whenever I’m using my TR on my bed ( where I usually use it ). But that’s pretty good considering that the signal having to cross through 4 walls just to my room, lol!

Anyways, it’s a good router .... but I wouldn’t mind better. Personally, I’m satisfied with the current performance, so long as I still have access to the net.
