I know you guys have missed my imbecilic queries on tweaking Bluetooth…so here’s a new wrinkle I am trying to contend with. Just to remind the BT gurus, I have installed and been using the Widcomm stack. Since a week or so ago, when I boot up the TR the BT tray icon remains white (not green as it should) and when I select it I should get the “My Bluetooth Places” screen. I don’t get anything. After a varied delay (usually two to ten minutes) I get two error messages which I will show below. Another strange part of the equation is that my BT mouse still works (but I can’t sync any other device without the “My Bluetooth Places” display. I was wondering if any of the Widcomm users had any experience with this problem. I have also posted the question on Jon Scaife’s forum with no help there yet. The error messages in order of appearance are:
BTTray
ERROR: Unable to start the Bluetooth stack service
and…
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\IBM\Bluetooth Software\BTTray.exe
R6025
-pure virtual function call
