The best I’ve used so far is Direct Connect, a la DC++. To be able to acces, you must share 4GB or more. And in order to exist on hubs, you must have bandwidth. Therefore, all your friends / peers on each hub have 1) at least ADSL bandwidth & 2) have @ least 4GB of files to share, depending on hub requirements. As a result, whenever I’ve used DC on uni access, i am able to reach catastrophic speeds of up to 500KB/sec, which rawks my block. Before, I used to max out at 7KB/sec. However, if all fails, I still use Kazaa lite. Google it off oldversion.net or something.
