Or rather the question should be…which P2P software do you NOT use? 

i dont use any anymore ... too insecure ....

oh that sh&*. ewwww…why? well, i guess it just does not make sense for 3rd world people, where music, etc. is easier to just go get for a buck a gig at the local shop.

-kazaa lite still works well
-limewire is similar and faster than kazaa
-soul seek is pretty good from what i hear you look through people’s folders to download what you want
- i’ve heard others use mirc too, it’s sort of tricky but similar to soul seek

The best I’ve used so far is Direct Connect, a la DC++.  To be able to acces, you must share 4GB or more.  And in order to exist on hubs, you must have bandwidth. Therefore, all your friends / peers on each hub have 1) at least ADSL bandwidth & 2) have @ least 4GB of files to share, depending on hub requirements.  As a result, whenever I’ve used DC on uni access, i am able to reach catastrophic speeds of up to 500KB/sec, which rawks my block.  Before, I used to max out at 7KB/sec.  However, if all fails, I still use Kazaa lite.  Google it off oldversion.net or something.

Soulseek for all my music needs (mainly Livesets of my favorite djs)and BitTorrent for day to day things :wink: . Both of them rocks,  i manage to get an outstanding speed. And there is no fake file too.  :ph34r:

I don’t think US laws apply in Canada so:

Besides, I believe that it is simply sharing and not stealing

They can keep sniffin’ because I am no where near the top of their hitlist.  With my measly 4 GB of music and less than a dozen movies (very few make my collection)........they can all go scratch as far as I am concerned.
