Here’s an interesting site to look at.

It shows the evolution of the GUI on the most common operating systems found today. It’s interesting to see how far (or not) we’ve come in terms of the interface. For you old school folks it does bring back some nostalgia.

Amen.  It’s amazing how *gasp* beautiful Windows has gotten over the years.  I still remember 3.1’s ugly as crap blue background.  But still, SimCity 2000 on 95 rawked my blocks.
