Can’t Use bluetooth and wireless net at the same time?

Hey Guys / Gals

I just watched the video review for a TR2 at Kurns Patrick.

 

Nice review, But.

Half way through the guy’s showing you the wireless and bluetooth control panel, then he says:

“The wireless networking and bluetooth cannot be used at the same time”

Is this for real? Anyone else found this / know what he’s going on about?

Tell me it aint so…...

In the words of the inimitable George Carlin: He’s fucking nuts. LOL He might be referring to a message I saw at one point warning you that WiFi may interfere with BT operation when both are enabled simultaneously.

Poppycock!!! Balderdash!!!

I will reconfirm with Drachen. I use my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth together all the time without any problems. The only thing that will happen is that your battery does go slightly faster when you have both enabled but nothing dramatic (just noticeable).

He is correct that you CANNOT use both the wireless LAN and bluetooth at the same time because the LAN Switching program he have is the older version which does not have the option to turn both the wireless LAN and bluetooth on at the same time. From looking at his screen, he have the option to turn only one of the following on: 802.11b, 802.11g, and bluetooth.

However, with the lastest version of the LAN Switching program, you CAN have both on.  Which is what I am working with, a wireless LAN and a bluetooth mouse.
