I went to my favorite import bookshop this morning and bought several mags. July issue of T3 gadget magazine covered a round-up of ultraportable laptops and awarded the TR2MP the gold award with 5 stars out of 5 followed by the JVC XP731 and the LifeBook P5020 which both have a rating of 4 stars out of 5.

What Laptop & Handeld PC focused their July issue on the Ultraportables, with a huuuuge in deep review of several models (9 ultraportables were tested) Gold award was given to the Samsung X30 (although at 2.5kg and with a 15.4” wide screen, it’s not IMHO an ultraportable anymore - since Z1 serie was excluded :| - ) the silver award went to our beloved TR serie (TR2 too, since i guess TR5 wasn’t out in UK when they did their round-up) and Panasonic CF-W2 got a Business Award.

Upcoming LaptopMagazine issue will also cover an ultraportable round-up so let’s hope we’ll have good result there too

If anyone wants a scan of the TR2 reviews (made with my Coolpix 3100, i don’t have a stand-alone scanner) feel free to ask. I don’t think it’s quite legal but it i don’t think somebody will complain

I guess we can start a repository of articles…assuming the publishing companies don’t threaten me with lawsuits. I have a few of my own mags that I can scan. If you have any then PM or e-mail me and I’ll organize them accordingly. Please remember to mention magazine and issue number.

To prevent threatening, i think we should keep the scan quality to its lowest usable level (don’t get me wrong, i don’t mean cameraphone quality for camera scanning techniques) and since it’s the fresh current issue for both T3 & WhatLaptop i think we should wait a couple of days before posting their reviews online… Anyway, as soon as i’m back at home, i’ll take a picture of the reviews and pm you the shots. Repository of TR articles is definitively a good idea :drool:
