Yeah, we’ve had a surge over the last couple of weeks. I think the site is really starting to propagate itself on all of the search engines. I’ve noticed that the site hits have increased steadily since the site started.
gr00vy: any chance you might have to start paying extra for all this attention? If so, send up a ring. I know I’d try and chip in to keep this place running.
it was only a matter of time before everyone, including myself, found this site. i find myself just reading up on every subject i can find on here, so i’m guessing i’m not the only one out there doing this. and to anyone who’s reading these postings and isn’t a member yet, hurry up and join the team. you’ll find out that ppl start to get to know you soon and you’ll end up learning a lot more about your tr or soon-to-be tr.
The TR won’t last forever, though. We may have to find a new name for the site. Something a little more general to Sony Mini Electronics or Subnotebooks.
Yeah…most likely…I’m leaning towards a company agnostic name. Even “subnotebook” seems too limiting. We’ll see…whatever happens, I want it to be something most people will like and hopefully retains as many of the members here as possible.
We could just change it to TR World…not that TR is specific or anything…it does officially mean Tiffany Rules afterall… :wink:

However, in my opinion if the forum is too broad then it not that good as well. It will be really difficult to find relevant information. Maybe broaden it up to cover all Sony notebooks I would like to see the VAIO-U group in Yahoo Group can be consolidated into this group
Yeah, I’ve been struggling with this issue for a while. I’d love to expand this site but not lose the focus. I definitely want to keep it restricted to the ultramobile sector…i.e. subnotebooks…or, nothing bigger than the Sony Type S series.
I’m thinking that I can possibly expand the site with the Sony TR section still it’s own section but also adding other main sections like a Sony U section.
But we’ll see….as always, I value the opinions of everyone here so the right decision can be made that benefits everyone.

Well, then, just put it up to a vote, sooner or later. Maybe after some of us reach the post 1000 post level?
Ok, we’ll be discussing this after the server move which I’ve scheduled on or just before the US Fourth of July weekend when traffic is generally lower. I may do it a few days before just in case there’s any problems and that will give me the weekend to fix any issues.
Also, at that point, we’ll be having our first giveaway! I have secured some items and will be announcing the details shortly. :wink:
