my canadian friend who also lives part of the year in an old VW camper raves about her’s, she uses to charge her ibook and other little gizmos, as well as to keep the westfalia going after sitting for long periods - hers, just like mine has serious electrical problems.

solar power is the way to go, fur sure, too bad the industry was squashed in the usa way back when…in nepal we use solar to heat ALL our hot water systems and to charge our backup batteries for when the power goes out, which it does 10+ times a day.

Woww this is cool; but you do need real bright sunlight to do the good charge huh.

my friend confirms it works when cloudy! dont know how (ultraviolet?), but i think it’s even advertised that way too.

What a wasted energy source we are missing by not capitalizing more on solar adaptations.

This is an interesting technology…one that has a bright future.

the 20 watts should be work but should get the 40 watts just to be safe(so you don’t keep blowing the fuses on it..if they are user accessible) the input for the tr’s a/c adapter draws 1.4~0.8Amps.
