Any opinions?
Heres a rather radical one that I now subscribe too after 20+ years of trying to do what u describe - with differnet incarnations of technolgy - and that’s just to give it up! Let go as the new agers used to say - wonder what they say now? But in this case, applicable, I’ve decided that i dont need anymore than the TR can hold with perhaps 80gb of external storage - for backups, music files, etc.. which i have on an old Que drive and a new prestigio portable.
its the philosophy of owning no more than u can reasonably carry by yourself.
since i ditched corporate world, its been working with everything else in my life so now I’m applying to my computing life. its a bit uncomfortable to get used to, like last week when the TR1 died on everest and I lost all the trip photos, but as they say in nepal: ke garne. even the CDs i have with 1990-2000 backups of stuff have started to flake off and are useless - i am starting to throw them off my porch for the kids to play with. I guess the buddhists are right, nothings permanent, no matter how hard we try to make it so.
