47.73 after 17 charge cycles.

I only use my TR3A around the house.  I basically never use my ac power except to charge the battery while the TR is off.  I generally take the battery down to zero - when it dies, I plug it into the AC charger and use on of my desktop PCs.

It’s 3 weeks old.

P.S. My tray icon never shows the plug icon when running on AC power - only the charging icon - even when it says 100% - it still shows (charging) and the lightening bolt.

Thats surprising, because I had learnt on this forum that Li-ion batteries should as much as possible not be deep discharged. Deep discharging them reduces their max. charge capacity faster. I have deep discharged it just once (that too for just estimating how long it could run on batteries) and in 8 charge cycles mine has gotten reduced to 47.70 and you who deep discharges it always, still have 47.73 after 17 charge cycles. :?  :?
Or is it supposed to be the other way round..i.e. deep discharging li-ion batteries is good for them? Even the tray icon for me always shows the lightning bolt.

I learnt that for my cell phone (Nokia 3650) its good to deep discharge it before putting it back to charge.

46.01 Wh @ 65 charge cycles, and I purchased my TR2A in October 2003. I never let it run below 15%, and have never let the battery run out completely. I still get about 4 hours per charge with with the screen on 3 bars brightness and WiFi on.

Mine is 47.73 after 2 cycles.

Note to Lumpydog: The A/C plug icon will only appear when you are plugged into the A/C and have the battery removed. As far as the charging icon still showing charging after it reaches 100%, I found this to be normal. My SRX does the same thing. I remember Windows ME would be different and simply show the A/C plug at 100%. Guess Microsoft decided to change this for Windows XP.

46.81 after 29 charge cycles ... got my TR last october.

I really don’t understand this battery thing. My charge was 47.55 when the cycle was 20. I was using the TR everyday with the battery and adapter in and the battery will show 99% each time I boot up the next morning and will finally gets charged to 100% with the figures remain unchanged. I remembered earlier this week, I used my TR on battery and drain it to about 30% and started charging it. It charges up to 100% at 47.55, but the cycle remains at 20. This is strange, I thought. That night, I used my TR on battery again and discharged it to about 20% and started charging. Then I noticed that the remaining capacity is at 47.50 and it already shows 100% and refused to charge up anymore even though the full charge is shown as 47.55. At this point, my cycle is still at 20! This continues for a while and after a few rounds of discharging and charging, I am at full charge 47.50, cycle 21. This is very frustrating!  :?

well deathstar, I had claimed at the start of the thread that after 8 cycles the full charge capacity of my TR’s battery was 47.71 but even after the no. of cycles being 8 it’s gone down to 47.66…. :(

thanks for the article…but I am still confused as to why ppl told me to charge my cell phone after letting the battery reach a low charge (when it to has li-ion battery)  :?

ever notice that only guys talk in terms of charge cycles?  anyway, what the hell are u talking about?  i want to be in on the club and i have 3 batteries now, but dont know how to get these stats!!!!

46.50

After six months of usage I get: 40 charge cycle, 46.15 Wh capacity

what are u guys using an ohmmeter or some osillyscope kinda thing to get these numbers?!?
