Thanks for sharing this. The “boost” promotion ends May 31st. So if you’re thinking about going to 1Gig of memory, act soon.
I don’t expect to see a huge performance increase given my usage habits, but - I do plan on keeping this notebook for a few years and want to upgrade to Microsoft’s next OS - “Longhorn” when it becomes available. I’m betting that 512MB will be min memory to run it, with 1Gig recomended.
Details of the boost promotion can be found here: [url]http://shop.kingston.com/nbpromo2/default.asp?sls=shop_spcl

you described the notebook-promo with 25%, which ends this month.
but we are talkin about the boost-promotion, which ends on August 31, 2004!
I gave each person an exact quote, if your thinking about doing this, this should give you a rough idea of how much you’ll need to pay…if you want an exact quote, feel free to e-mail me.

Please do not send anymore payments. All payments have been refunded.
I ordered 10 Kingston chips a few days ago, the order was canceled yesterday. Apparently ordering so many chips is considered against the policy of the price and I would move to ‘reseller’ status or something like that. I told them that my company has 10 TRs, they said it didn’t matter. I had the option of ordering the 10 at full price.
Anyway, long story short, this has become too much of a pain and I don’t want to get stuck with memory chips. I have sent the 10 people their refund via paypal…if you have a problem, please e-mail me.
