I agree that it would be a good idea to order early.  In some cases the parts have been pretty slow in arriving.  The process of installation has been made very easy thanks to gr00vy0ne.  Enjoy the computer.  It is a lot of fun.

Ok, this has gotten confusing, so i’ll ask for clairifacation:

I have a tr3ap2, which bluetooth module should I order? and which cable should I order?

Cable PN 1-827-266-21

it this new 1-234-803-22 ($103.01) will act from TR2A, which better 1-234-803-21 ($112.01)  or 1-234-803-22 ($103.01) ?

Well…I installed the older module (I wouldn’t want to deviate from gr00vy0ne’s directions) but others have indicated that there is a new version of the module (1-234-803-22).  I have had no problems with the original one, but you might want to hear from others who installed the later part.

i did istall the bluetooth but im having some problem for installing the keyboard connector with the board could anyone help me by providing steps or any sort of directions..

Make sure that the small brown tab is “flipped” up.  The connector will slide in.  Then push the brown tab down to “lock” the connector in place.  Be gentle, it is a delicate part.

where can i find the wireless switcher the bluetooth is working perfectly but im looking for the switcher.

I’m holding a TR1 with 1-234-803-22 installed with no problem.

so did anybody have any luck finding the part number to the little “light bar” that would include the bluetooth logo? how about where to order it from?

please take a look @ the service manual for the tr1ap, i think you can find the “lightbar” or however you want call it in there!

there is one part (part no. 15), which is pointed ontop of the status leds. in the partlist it is called ASSY (LENS) (LED) (F) with part no. X-4626-163-4

the problem is i’ve got only the service manual for the tr1ap, so the part no. X-4626-163-4 is for the lightbar without the bluetooth sign on it…

perhaps somebody who is able to speak japanese should call the sony headquarter and ask for the part no. for the “assy lens led” of the japanese and european versions of the tr… or somebody could get the japanese service manual with the right part no. in it.

Let’s not get our hopes up, but I think I might have found the piece we are looking for to complete a bluetooth upgrade for our TRs. Thank you to the previous poster who posted the name of the part, I used that name to trace this company who sells a part listed as : ASSY (LENS) (F) (BT), for the PCG-TR2/B. There are two parts listed one without the (BT) and one with….could BT stand for bluetooth?? I think so. When I come back from Mexico I will check the forum and if anybody hasn’t found any other info supporting or denying this than I will just have to order one and check!

If this turns out to be the bezel or light bar assembly, I will be placing my order for all the parts and upgrading my TR to bluetooth! Thanks groovy for doing the leg work on this one, and well all the other one’s too!

Update: Well it turns out that you can find this part on the Sony Parts webpage as well. Just do a search for the part number and there you go.

Quick question: Is the part number 182726621 definately for the bluetooth module cable?

just placed my order..it came out to $23.90 total. hopefully its the right part.  :drool:

After spending the better part of the evening researching this I believe that it is, of course without the service manual there is no telling. I ordered mine as well but I will be in Mexico for the next week so I won’t be able to check my mail. :(
