I need some extra storage for my TR, like an extra 120 gigs or something.
Can anyone suggest any that would be usb or firewire powered, so i don’t need a seperate power supply, and would suit the look of the TR. i’ve seen the vaio external 60 GB HD but i think it’s way overpriced

LaCie is one of the more trusted brands to designers AFAIK. The Maxtor OneTouch series is probably worth a look too depending on your size requirements, interface requirements and your feelings on Maxtor (everyone has a hated brand of HD).

) Is there any advantage to having a vertical HD, like the Lacie? Also, I understand the Lacie HD is fanless. Are all external drives fanless?

2)Do you know if the 250GB d2 Lacie external hard drive has it’s own power? Or would it be getting power from the computer it’s hooked up to?
